How the clavicle support works
The brace goes on like a rucksack: two padded loops over the shoulders meet at a flat plate between the shoulder blades, and a strap across the back sets the tension. Drawing the shoulders back holds the collarbone in the position it needs to knit. The straps are non-elastic, so they hold that tension instead of stretching out over the day, and the flat back plate spreads the pressure away from the spine — which matters most when you are lying down.
