The Royal Plus chassis is made of aluminium and carries up to 50 kg, so a full week of shopping is no problem. The 25 cm air wheels run on ball bearings and roll quietly over gravel, cobbles and kerbs. When you fold out the load platform the chassis also works as a hand truck for a bottle crate or a parcel, and a hook lets you hang the trolley on a supermarket trolley while you shop.
The Ortlieb bag — 49 litres and fully waterproof
The bag comes from the outdoor specialist Ortlieb, known for their bicycle panniers. You get a fully waterproof bag of 49 litres with an inner pocket, and Ortlieb marks it WATERPROOF on the bag itself. The roll-top closes with a buckle strap, while Andersen’s quick-release fitting lets you take the bag off the chassis in seconds.
