About Bima Cushion Donut Wedge Standard
Bima donut wedge cushion — a wedge-shaped cushion with a central opening that takes the load off the coccyx, the rectum and the perineum, in firm polyether under a laminated blue velour cover.
An opening where the pressure hurts
The central opening leaves the area around the coccyx, the rectum and the perineum unloaded — the point of the design rather than a detail of it. That is what makes it usable after a coccyx fracture, with haemorrhoids, or with tearing after childbirth, where an ordinary cushion presses exactly where it should not.
The wedge tilts you gently forward and holds the pelvis at a natural angle, which also takes some of the strain off the lower back. The blue velour cover is laminated and the nap runs against the direction you would slide, so you stay put on the cushion rather than gradually sliding to the front edge.
