About Camp Scandinavia OPED EVENup Shoe Lift
Camp Scandinavia OPED EVENup shoe lift — a lift you strap under the shoe on your good foot to level out the height difference a walker boot or a cast creates on the other leg, with a removable insert giving 1.3 or 2.6 cm.
Levelling the two legs while you heal
A walker boot or a below-knee cast raises one foot several centimetres, and every step you take after that is uneven. The limp that follows loads the hip and the lower back on the other side, which is why people in a boot for six weeks often finish with a sore back rather than a sore ankle. The EVENup goes under the shoe on the healthy foot and brings the two back level.
The removable insert lets you choose 1.3 cm or 2.6 cm of extra height, so you can match the boot or cast you actually have. It attaches with elastic bands over the toe and a hook-and-loop strap around the foot, and it fits either foot — there is no left or right to choose.
If you are between two sizes, take the smaller one: the fit is meant to be snug.
