The carbon fibre shaft with its macassar wood veneer makes the stick very light and tough at the same time. The modelled hippo head in bronze weighs more than the shaft does, so you feel the weight sit in your hand rather than at the tip. A polished metal collar joins the head to the shaft, and the Cannes Fayet signature is printed just below it.

The stick comes at 99 cm and you can cut it shorter if that is too long for you. It weighs 360 g, takes a load of up to 100 kg and stands on a rubber ferrule of 19 mm, which is the size to ask for when the tip wears down.
