Carson Clip and Flip magnifier – a clip-on lens pair at 1.5x that you attach to your own glasses when you work on small detail, and flip up out of the way when you want to see normally again.

How the clip-on magnifier works

You clip the lenses onto the glasses you already wear using the sprung clamp. Flip them down in front of your eyes when you need magnification, and flip them up again in one movement when you do not. The magnification is +2.25 dioptres, which corresponds to 1.5x. The clip-on weighs 17 grams, so it hardly changes the balance of the frame, and the acrylic lenses keep distortion down at the edges. A pouch comes with it for travelling.
