Drive eTSE Electric Toilet Stand-Up Aid Set

Drive eTSE toilet stand-up aid — an electric raised toilet seat with remote control that tilts the seat forward, so you rise without assistance from carers or relatives. The set consists of a drive unit and the TSE 150 raised toilet seat with armrests, and weighs 9.95 kg in total.

How an electric toilet lift works

The seat tilts forward continuously and lifts 95 mm when you press the remote control, which sits on the armrest. You decide how far it goes and can stop anywhere along the way. The lift takes the heaviest part of the movement, while the armrests give you something to hold on to.

The drive unit sits hidden behind the seat and weighs 4.25 kg. The design is frameless, so you avoid a stand around the toilet and keep the floor space in the bathroom.

Benefits of the toilet lift

  • Continuous tilting that lifts the seat 95 mm
  • Remote control on the armrest – you are in control, at your own pace
  • Battery powered, so no fixed power connection is needed
  • Frameless and compact – takes up no extra space at the toilet
  • Maximum user weight 150 kg
  • Hygiene opening 25 × 23 cm and 48 cm between the armrests
  • Tool-free assembly

Who is the stand-up aid for?

The set suits you if you find it hard to get up from the toilet because of weak legs, painful hips or knees, or reduced balance. An electric raised toilet seat with remote control also relieves a relative who would otherwise have to help every time. For the same reason the set works well in care homes and hospitals: the user can often manage to stand up alone, and staff therefore avoid a heavy lift at every toilet visit. If you also need something to hold on to on the way to the toilet, you will find support handles in our range, and NHS.uk has more about equipment that makes daily life easier.

Electric toilet lift in care homes and hospitals

In a care setting the same task comes back many times a day. With the lift, more residents rise without assistance from carers, and staff therefore rarely need to lift manually. The remote control sits on the armrest, so the user sets the pace and can stop at any point during the movement.

You assemble the set without tools, so it is easy to move between bathrooms when needs change. The battery operation also means you do not have to run power into a wet room. The construction takes a user weight of 150 kg, and the 25 × 23 cm hygiene opening gives access for washing and wiping.

Assembly and operation

You assemble the set without tools, and the battery powers the lift, so the bathroom needs no fixed power connection. The drive unit only works together with the TSE 120 and TSE 150 raised toilet seats, and it therefore does not fit other raised toilet seats. Full technical data is available on the manufacturer product page.

The battery sits in the hand control, not in the drive unit, so you never remove a battery. You charge it by connecting the supplied power adapter to the socket at the end of the hand control coiled cable, and four LEDs show the charge level in steps of 25 percent. The manufacturer states that the power adapter may only be used in dry rooms outside the bathroom, so you take the hand control out when it needs charging. Charge it fully before first use, and top it up every three months if the set is not in use.

The manufacturer user manual (PDF) is available in German, English, French and Dutch.
