About Mediroyal Active Ankle T2
Mediroyal Active Ankle T2 — a hinged ankle brace in moulded HDPE with a rigid stay on each side of the joint, giving sideways stability without limiting how far the foot flexes.
Hinged support against a twisted ankle
The brace is a U-shaped shell with hinges: two rigid plastic stays sit on the inside and outside of the ankle, fixed to a footplate under the foot. That geometry blocks the sideways roll that sprains an ankle while leaving the up-and-down movement alone — you can still run and push off normally, which is why it is worn in sport rather than only after an injury.
The lining is closed-cell PE foam, which cushions the pressure points and takes up neither sweat nor water, so you wipe the brace clean with a damp cloth instead of washing it. A wide hook-and-loop strap around the ankle sets the tension and lets you put the brace on and take it off quickly, over a sock and inside a shoe.
