About Mediroyal Hand Therapy Putty Royal Putty Nova
Mediroyal Royal Putty Nova comes in six colour-coded resistance levels for hand training, and the two softest are adapted for training with neurological and rheumatic conditions. Each jar contains 85 grams.
How the dynamic resistance works
Mediroyal has cross-linked the elastomer material, which increases the dynamic resistance under load. If you train hard, the putty responds with higher resistance, and if you take it easier, it responds with lower resistance. The same jar can therefore follow you further through your rehabilitation, instead of you changing strength as soon as you have become a little stronger.
The Nova version also has a drier and less oily feel than Mediroyal’s earlier grades. The putty consists of silicone elastomer of different densities, and it is the density that decides which resistance you get.
Hand therapy putty for fingers and grip
You shape the putty freely: knead it in the palm, roll it into a sausage between the fingers, pinch it between thumb and index finger or squeeze it in a clenched fist. That way you train grip strength, finger strength and mobility with the same jar. The grades can also be mixed with each other if you want a resistance between two levels.
Six resistance levels, one colour for each
The colour-coded resistance levels make it easy to see which jar you have in front of you, and to move up a level when the hand can do more.
- XX-Soft – white, the lowest resistance
- X-Soft – beige

- Medium – red
- Firm – green
- X-Firm – blue, the highest resistance
Who is the hand therapy putty for?
The putty suits you if you are training up the hand after an injury or surgery, and you who want to keep your grip going with osteoarthritis in the hands and fingers. Mediroyal states that the lowest resistances, XX-Soft and X-Soft, are particularly adapted for training with neurological and rheumatic conditions, because the putty there is soft without being sticky.
