Each bag is a thin plastic film with an absorbent pad in the bottom. When the liquid reaches the pad, the superabsorbent material turns it into a firm, odourless mass within a minute. You then tie the bag shut and drop it in an ordinary waste bin. The material is the same kind used in nappies, and each bag takes up to 1.2 litres.
Rolled up, an unused bag takes no more room than a napkin, so the bags live in a handbag or a pocket until you need them. Each disposable bag also holds a tissue for drying afterwards.
