RBP S120 Lithium Battery Charger 24 V 5 A

RBP S120 lithium battery charger — a universal charger with an XLR plug for LiFePO4 batteries, where an LED shows red while charging and an automatic cut-off against overcharging protects the battery.

Universal charger with an XLR plug

You plug the charger into the scooter’s XLR socket and then into the wall — nothing else is needed. The built-in LED shows red while the charge runs and green when the battery is full. The input of 100–240 V AC means the charger works in most countries, and the 5 A charging current fills a larger LiFePO4 battery in reasonable time.

Benefits of the S120

  • 5 A charging current that also fills larger LiFePO4 batteries efficiently
  • Standard XLR connector that fits most mobility scooters
  • LED indicator — red while charging, green when the battery is full
  • Automatic cut-off that protects against overcharging and short circuits
  • Input 100–240 V AC, so it works in most countries
  • Weighs 750 g, small enough to travel with

Who does it suit?

The charger is a reliable choice if you have a mobility scooter or a powerchair with a LiFePO4 battery. You use it as a replacement charger or as a second charger, since it fits most models with an XLR socket. You find more mobility accessories in our range, and you can read about walking aids and mobility scooters on NHS.uk.

Before you use it

  • The charger suits scooters with a 24 V system only — check your manual if you are unsure
  • Plug the charger into the scooter first, then into the wall. Unplug the wall first
  • Follow the scooter or powerchair maker’s advice on how and how often to charge
  • Do not charge lead-acid batteries with this charger
  • Do not leave the charger connected all the time. It switches off when the battery is full, but it is not made for float charging. If the scooter stands unused, charge every second month
  • Handle it carefully — the electronics are sensitive and a hard knock can break the charger
