Scanergo Distance Plate Comfortex ChestRest
Scanergo Comfortex ChestRest is a soft distance plate that helps position the upper back forward a few centimeters so that the head aligns correctly with the car’s headrest.
A common problem for people shorter than average in car seats is that the headrest doesn’t provide proper support, forcing the head forward in an unnatural and straining angle for the neck.
This issue arises because most car seats have headrests designed for people above average height, approximately 180 cm. For shorter individuals, this means the back of the head presses against the car’s fixed headrest protrusion, which rarely can be adjusted. This causes the head to push forward and the neck to bend at a harmful angle, potentially leading to what’s known as “forward head posture” – a condition that can cause long-term problems.
People taller than average typically avoid this problem as their head positions above the convex part of the headrest, allowing the head to maintain a natural and upright position. To help shorter people achieve the same ergonomic benefits, the ChestRest was developed.
