The original McKenzie shape for good posture

The cushion follows the shape that the McKenzie method sets out, so it fills the natural curve of the lower back and takes the load off it during sedentary work. You fasten it to the backrest with the strap and set the height so it sits a few centimetres above the tailbone. Then sit as far back in the chair as you can, which is what lets the cushion carry the lower back through the whole day.

The cushion is 40 cm long, 14.5 cm high and 5.5 cm thick, and it weighs 0.26 kg. The core is moulded polyether foam and the cover is black corduroy in 100 % cotton. It suits hard backrests in particular, where there is nothing to fill the lumbar curve.
