Ten centimetres that change the movement
You fit the raiser onto the pan by hand and tighten a plastic clamp underneath — no tools and nothing permanent. The ten extra centimetres shorten the distance you have to lower yourself through and, more to the point, the distance you have to push back up. That is usually the difference between managing alone and needing a hand.
The lid lifts off entirely if you would rather do without it, and the raiser is moulded in PP and ABS, which wipes clean with an ordinary bathroom cleaner. At 40.5 × 36.5 cm it covers the opening on a standard pan.
