A mini derby handle for a narrow hand

The Petite version uses a smaller derby handle than the standard model. It follows the shape of the palm and spreads the load across the whole hand rather than into the base of the thumb, which is what makes a long walk bearable. The reason it exists is simple: a standard handle is too thick to close a small hand around, and a grip you cannot close around is a grip you cannot trust.

Gastrock carve each cane in Germany from home-grown beech. The flaming in the wood is a natural feature and the silk-matt lacquer deepens it, so the grain pattern is different on every cane. A decorative metal collar sits between the handle and the shaft, and a rubber ferrule gives grip on most surfaces. The cane is 88 cm long, weighs 250 grams and takes up to 100 kg.
