iRun Power M-300 – 256Wh CPAP Backup Battery
The iRun Power M-300 CPAP backup battery keeps your therapy running during power cuts and is compatible with ResMed, Philips and Yuwell CPAP machines, packing 256Wh of capacity in lithium iron phosphate cells.
Direct DC power – no inverter losses
Ordinary power banks and power stations run CPAP machines through an inverter, which converts the battery’s DC output to 230V AC and then back to DC inside the machine. Because of this double conversion, part of the energy is lost as heat, and a low-load shut-off can in the worst case stop the machine in the middle of the night. The iRun Power M-300 works differently: it feeds the machine directly with the correct DC voltage – 12V, 15V, 19V or 24V, selectable with the button on top – with no inverter involved. Therefore you get more efficient operation and no risk of an unexpected shutdown while you sleep.
The battery can also charge and deliver power at the same time, so you can leave it permanently connected between the wall outlet and your machine. If the mains fail, the battery takes over automatically and your therapy continues through the night without interruption.
Works off-grid – camping, cabin and boat
A power cut is the most important reason to keep the battery ready, but it is just as useful where there is no wall outlet at all. In a cabin without mains power, in a motorhome, on a boat or at a campsite, you can charge the battery from a solar panel and keep your therapy running. The same unit covers both the unplanned outage at home and the planned trip somewhere off the grid.
How long does one charge last?
Runtime depends mainly on your pressure setting and whether you use a humidifier and heated tube. During an outage the battery lasts longest if you switch off the humidifier and heated tube – the therapy pressure is what matters, and the M-300 then runs for several nights. Approximate figures for a typical CPAP machine:
| Usage | Approximate runtime |
| Low pressure, no humidifier | About 20–22 hours (2–3 nights) |
| Medium pressure, no humidifier | About 15 hours (nearly 2 nights) |
| Humidifier switched on | About 7 hours (1 night) |
| Humidifier and heated tube (max) | About 5 hours |
The figures are guidelines and vary between machines and settings.
Key benefits
- Direct DC output to the machine with no inverter – reliable backup power during outages without low-load shut-offs
- 256Wh capacity (80,000 mAh) in long-life lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells
- Charges and delivers power at the same time, so it can sit between the wall outlet and the machine as automatic backup
- Adapter cables for the most common ResMed, Philips and Yuwell machines included
- Also charges from a solar panel (10–30V) or USB-C PD (up to 100W) – practical in a motorhome, boat or cabin
- 2-year warranty
Compatible CPAP machines
The iRun Power M-300 is compatible with most CPAP and BiPAP machines with DC input, including ResMed, Philips, Yuwell and BMC, provided the correct adapter cable is used. Supported machines include:
- ResMed: S9, S10 / AirSense 10, S11 / AirSense 11 (AutoSet, Elite and CPAP), plus AirMini*
- Philips: DreamStation and DreamStation 2
- Yuwell: YH-550 and YH-680B
- BMC: G3 series and U/Y/E series
* The M-300 suits the common AirSense 11 machines and most AirMini units that use a 65W power adapter (24V, 2.71A). However, some machines — certain AirMini configurations and some AirCurve 11 models — use a 90W adapter (24V, 3.75A) with a different connector and therefore do not fit. You can see which adapter your machine uses on the label of the power adapter itself. If you are unsure, please get in touch with us before ordering.
Four adapter cables are included in the package, for ResMed and Philips machines. Yuwell and BMC machines use the same type of 24V connector and work with the included cables or a compatible cable.
Who benefits from a CPAP backup battery?
The battery suits you if you want to be sure your therapy is not interrupted when the power goes out, for example during a thunderstorm or a longer outage. It also works as a stand-alone power source in a motorhome, boat or cabin without mains power.
