Because the APAP system only raises the pressure when you actually need it, many people find the therapy more comfortable. The Prisma Smart MAX offers two dynamic options for pressure adjustment in APAP mode and avoids unnecessary pressure increases during central events.
With softPAP pressure relief the machine lowers the pressure as you begin to exhale and raises it again as you start to inhale. softSTART also gives a comfortable ramp with a slow pressure increase while you fall asleep. Prisma RECOVER analyses your breathing pattern and identifies phases of deep sleep.
