The wheel is moulded in solid plastic, so there is nothing to puncture and nothing to pump — it stays maintenance-free whatever you roll it over. The ball bearing keeps it rolling lightly even with the trolley fully loaded. You click the old wheel off and the new one on without tools, and the wheels are sold singly so you can replace just the one that has worn.
