About Jobst Travel Compression Socks
Jobst Travel compression socks — black knee-high socks with graduated class 1 compression at 15–20 mmHg that look and feel like ordinary socks, made for the hours you spend sitting still on a plane or a train.
Graduated compression that looks like an ordinary sock
The compression is firmest at the ankle and eases up the calf. That gradient is what helps the blood on its way back towards the heart when the calf muscle is not pumping — which is exactly the situation in a seat for several hours.
The knit is soft and matt black, so the socks pass for ordinary knee-highs with a suit or with jeans and nobody has to know. A wide comfort band below the knee holds them up without cutting a groove into the leg.

Who is it for?
The socks suit you if you fly, take long train journeys or drive for hours and want to arrive without heavy, swollen legs. Sitting still for long stretches is a known risk factor for deep vein thrombosis, and compression is one of the standard measures against it, alongside moving about and drinking water. Care
Machine wash at 40 °C with a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener and do not tumble dry — both break down the elastic fibres that carry the compression.
