ResMed Travel APAP AirMini

The ResMed Travel APAP AirMini is one of our smallest machines for treating sleep apnea. The term APAP rather than CPAP might confuse some, as CPAP is commonly used as a general term for sleep apnea treatment.

The difference between APAP and CPAP is that APAP stands for Automatic Positive Airway Pressure. This means the machine automatically adjusts its treatment and air pressure to the level you need. The machine follows your breathing during the night and adjusts to the pressure needed to keep your airways open.

CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, meaning you have a fixed pressure throughout the night. Since the APAP system increases pressure only when you need it, it’s generally experienced as a more comfortable treatment.

Easy to Use

The ResMed Travel APAP AirMini is designed to be as easy and convenient as possible. It essentially has just one start button. The display for viewing your treatment and setting up the machine is accessed by downloading the AirMini app to your smartphone. This is also where you set which type of mask you have.

The ResMed Travel APAP AirMini is only compatible with masks P10, N20, N30, F20, and F30, and you need to purchase a starter kit for these masks. The starter kit includes tubing and adapters for your chosen mask.

The ResMed Travel APAP AirMini doesn’t have a humidifier available for purchase, but you can buy HumidX or HumidX Plus capsules. These function as humidifiers without using water. Be careful to choose the right HumidX capsule as these are also adapted to your specific mask.

The AirMini is only 13.6 cm wide and can fit in your jacket pocket. For more organized travel, a practical travel bag is available separately. It has room for tubing, mask, and power cable.
