The strap covers a range of masks, which makes it a practical spare if you have changed mask or simply need more room around the head. The build is robust and the hook-and-loop tabs let you fine-tune the fit yourself, so the mask holds its position through the night. At 45 g it adds almost nothing to what you already carry on the face.
