Rehasense Anti-Tip Wheel for ICON Wheelchair

Tietoa tuotteesta Rehasense Anti-Tip Wheel for ICON Wheelchair

Rehasense Anti-Tip Wheel for ICON Wheelchair — a rear-mounted anti-tip wheel accessory from Rehasense for the ICON wheelchair series — prevents the wheelchair from tipping backward during transfers, on slopes or when reaching forward.

Rear safety wheel that prevents the ICON wheelchair from tipping

The Rehasense Anti-Tip Wheel for ICON Wheelchair is a small support wheel mounted on an aluminium rail behind the rear wheels. When the wheelchair begins to tip backward, the support wheel contacts the ground and prevents the chair from falling. The aluminium rail sits in a black plastic holder that is screwed to the wheelchair frame and locked with a bolt, and two anti-tip wheels are needed for full protection. The anti-tip wheel is a safety accessory recommended for wheelchair users who spend time outdoors or are at risk of backward tipping.

An anti-tip wheel is particularly useful on slopes, during uneven terrain and when reaching up for objects, all of which shift the centre of gravity backward.
