Over Classic Canes Rubber Tip Type A
Classic Canes rubber tip Type A — a cylindrical rubber cane tip in five sizes from 13 to 25 mm that fits most canes, so you pick the size from the diameter of your own shaft.
A cane tip in five sizes
The Type A has a straight cylindrical profile. You measure the shaft just above the old tip and choose 13, 16, 19, 22 or 25 mm to match, then push the new tip on over the end of the cane — no tools and nothing to screw. The rubber grips on hard surfaces such as wooden floors and pavements.
A tip that has worn smooth is the usual reason a cane starts to slip, especially on wet ground, so it is worth replacing before the tread disappears altogether. If you want a wider base than the Type A gives, the Type C is the broader model.
Benefits of the Type A cane tip
- Cylindrical shape that fits most canes
- Five sizes from 13 to 25 mm — measure the shaft and pick the match
- Rubber that grips on wooden floors and pavements
- Pushes straight onto the cane, no tools needed
- Replacing a worn tip restores safe footing
Who does it suit?
The Type A suits you if the tip on your cane has worn down and you know, or can measure, the shaft diameter. Browse more cane tips in our range, or read about walking aids on NHS.uk.
