Popab Ingrid Cane Tip

Over Popab Ingrid Cane Tip

Popab Ingrid cane tip — a black rubber ferrule with a convex, tyre-treaded underside that keeps contact whatever angle the cane meets the ground at, in three sizes covering 12 to 27 mm.

A convex sole with a tyre tread

A flat ferrule only meets the ground fully when the cane is upright, which it rarely is. The rounded underside here keeps contact through the lean as well, so the grip does not drop away at the start and the end of the step. The tread pattern bites on dry and wet surfaces alike.

The rubber compound is a hard-wearing one, and the tip pushes straight onto the end of the cane — no tools and nothing to screw.

Benefits of the Ingrid tip

• Convex underside with a tyre tread — grip at any angle
• Hard-wearing rubber compound
• Fits canes from about 12 to 27 mm
• Stable when the cane leans
• Pushes straight onto the cane

Sizes

• 12.5–16.5 mm
• 16.5–21.5 mm
• 21.5–27 mm

When should you replace it?

Change the tip as soon as the tread is worn smooth — a worn ferrule is the most common reason a stick slips, and it costs far less to replace than a fall costs. See more cane tips in our range, and the NHS guidance on walking aids.
