Sobre Löwenstein Cushion for Cara Nasal Mask
Löwenstein cushion for the Cara nasal mask — an original silicone cushion for CPAP therapy at sleep apnoea, shaped for a mask that has no forehead support. It weighs 45 g and lasts up to 12 months.
A seal that does not need a forehead support
The Cara cushion closes softly around the nose and holds a steady seal without anything resting on the forehead, because the mask is built without a forehead support at all. That takes the weight off the upper face. The soft silicone follows the shape of your face and copes with daily use and cleaning, and you press the cushion onto the mask frame yourself without tools.
Benefits of the Cara cushion
- Original Löwenstein part for the Cara nasal mask
- Soft silicone that seals without leaving pressure marks
- Made for a mask without a forehead support — less weight on the face
- Takes daily cleaning and regular use
- Weighs 45 g and lasts up to 12 months
- Presses onto the mask frame without tools
When should you replace the cushion?
Change it when the silicone has worn, discoloured or stopped sealing. A worn cushion leaks, and a leak is what wakes you. See more CPAP cushions, or read about obstructive sleep apnoea on HSE.ie.
